1. Who is responsible for your data

KnowledgePanel.io is the controller for personal information processed through this website and its services. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to hello@knowledgepanel.io.

2. Data we collect and where it comes from

We may collect your name, email address, profession, country, assessment inputs, service request details, and technical usage data needed to run and improve the platform. To make forms easier to complete, our hosting provider may infer your country from your request and we may use that country-level result to suggest a location and calling code. We do not request precise device location for this feature. We collect information directly from you and may review publicly available sources you ask us to assess, such as websites, publications, social profiles, and search results.

3. How we use data

Provide readiness assessments and publish public-source identity reports automatically when an assessment completes, including free and guest assessments.
Respond to consultation and done-for-you service requests.
Operate and secure the platform.
Understand product journeys and engagement, diagnose browser errors, and measure page performance through PostHog when optional analytics consent is granted. This includes masked session replay and interaction heatmaps. We use internal account identifiers for signed-in journeys; form inputs and Identity Advisor conversations are masked in replay, and email addresses and chat questions are excluded from analytics events.

4. Our lawful bases

We rely on contract where processing is needed to deliver a service you request; consent for optional analytics or marketing; legitimate interests to operate, improve, and secure the platform and publish public-source identity summaries for people to review and understand public identity evidence; and legal obligation where records must be kept. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Public identity reports and search engines

Completed assessments automatically create a publicly accessible identity report, whether you are a guest, a free user, or a signed-in customer. There is no private assessment option. The report can include the searched name or business domain, submitted profession and country, readiness score, source-check outcomes, and observation date. It is an automated summary of public-source evidence, not proof that the subject requested or endorsed it.

The public report does not include the submitter’s email address, account details, payment information, private messages, or order details. Email addresses supplied for delivery or enquiries are processed separately. We make public report URLs available to search engines through sitemaps. Search engines decide whether and when to index them, and other people may share or copy a public report.

Our purpose in publishing these summaries is to make public identity evidence easier to understand and review. We rely on legitimate interests for this publication, taking account of the subject’s rights and reasonable expectations. Publication is distinct from consent to marketing. Public availability of the original sources does not remove your data protection rights.

If a report is about you, you can request correction, object to publication, or request removal by contacting hello@knowledgepanel.io with the report URL and the reason for your request. We assess requests under applicable data protection law and may seek proportionate information to verify identity or authority. Where removal is appropriate, we withdraw the public report and its sitemap entry. Search-engine results and third-party copies may take time to disappear and are not under our direct control.

6. Payment information

Payments are handled by the provider identified at checkout. We receive transaction identifiers, status, amount, currency, and limited billing details needed to reconcile an order, but we do not store full payment-card numbers or wallet private keys. The payment provider processes payment information under its own privacy notice.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for service delivery, operational records, compliance, and dispute resolution. Retention periods vary according to the type of record, our legal duties, and whether an account or order remains active. You can ask about the period that applies to your data.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy of your data. You can request this by emailing hello@knowledgepanel.io.

9. International transfers

Where data is processed outside your jurisdiction, we use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.

10. Automated decisions

Readiness scores and recommendations are decision-support information. We do not use them to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. If required assessment information is not provided, we may be unable to produce an assessment or deliver the requested service.

11. Security

We use access controls, secure provider integrations, transport encryption, monitoring, and data-minimisation measures designed to protect personal data. No online service can eliminate every security risk. Please use a unique password and tell us promptly if you believe an account or report has been accessed improperly.
